Very special shafts, the 70-75# spined shafts, with the 11/32 thickness, are very rare. In order to obtain this high spine, the tree must grow very slowly, so the wood is dense and tough.

These shafts are often used for building arrows for flight tournaments, because of their high wood density: even with a reduced thickness, high-spine arrows are obtainable.

The Oxygen wooden shafts are manufactured from carefully selected wood, starting from the log thickness, the growth rings, and ending with humidity control, all in order to assure maximum performance to each arrow.

The spruce is slightly less dense than cedar, and most of the other woods (used in arrow building) are. This fact translates into slightly lighter arrows, which constitutes an important advantage, as the arrow will fly straighter further than the heavier ones.

As this is a premium product, we offer these complementary services when possible:

- consulting in selecting the right shafts for a bow

- grouping the shafts together, in order to deliver groups of 10-15 shafts with a maximum weight difference of 1 gram

- cutting the shafts to the required length
